Hindi Diwas was celebrated on 14 September 2021, at Shelter Don Bosco-Wadala. Shelter Don Bosco commemorated this day, to pay respect to the Hindi language, with a small programme, 'हिंदी हमारी पहचान, हमारा गर्व ' [Hindi our identity, our pride].

The programme began with an informative introduction about the Hindi Diwas through a PowerPoint presentation. This was followed by a literary programme ‘Kavi Sammelan’. The boys recited the poems of great Hindi poets, such as Tulsidas, Mahadevi Verma, Ramdas Mishra, Dr. Sudhakar Mishra and Jayshankar Prasad.

A trivia quiz on the information presented was also organsied, and the winners received prizes from Father Rudolf D'Souza, who also shared some significant facts about the Hindi language.
