BIS #6344 Don Bosco Nerul 'vocation' animation

by Laxmi with Father Barnabe D'Souza for BISMumbai

Since the beginning of the lock-down, Don Bosco Nerul has held virtual animation sessions for those aspiring to join the MumbaiSalesians. However, the virtual sessions, create a lesser impact than the physical and inter-personal meet. Don Bosco Nerul thus extended an invitation to the vocation-aspirants for an animation session and a football-friendly at its premises on Sunday, 06 June 2021.

MumbaiSalesians' philosophy scholastics Joseph Thomas (FY philosophy), Melton Suares (SY Philosophy), and Rohan D’souza (resident scholastic at DB Nerul), animated the day. There was unbound enthusiasm evident on the faces of all present, since the opportunity to physically interact with friends, was long stalled.

Cleric Suares shared his holiday apostolate experience in Don Bosco Snehalaya at Vishwamitri-Vadodara. Cleric Thomas shared his vocation story on how for him, it all began at Don Bosco Nerul. Cleric D'Souza shared some inputs on what it means to be called by God for His ministry. Post-session, an exciting football-friendly ensued. Don Bosco Nerul Administrator-Father Roy Noronha and Principal Father Blaise Fernandes too joined in the footy action.

Tea and snacks ensured smiling faces, satisfied tummies and a hope-filled future. The joy of meeting, sharing and playing made the 'vocation' animation day memorable.
