BIS #5939 DON BOSCO ALIRAJPUR PROVIDES SOAPS AND MASKS TO 2000 RURAL FAMILIES
by Father Pratap Damor for BISMumbai
Don Bosco Alirajpur Shaikshanik Samajik Kendra Alirajpur and Bosco United (Past pupils) together with the social outreach staff have initiated COVID-19 outreach with distribution of 02 soaps and 02 masks to each rural family. This outreach is to help the rural families to use soaps and masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the villages.
Rector Father Stanny Fereira made the families aware of the dangers of COVID-19, giving tips on safeguarding oneself and requested that they strictly follow all the Government rules, at this difficult time. He instructed them saying, "health and hygiene is very important in this fight against the COVID-19."
The social outreach staff, Village Education Project [VEP] teachers and the Bosco United coordinators personally distributed the soaps and masks in the villages. This is made possible due to the various generous benefactors who have contributed for the COVID-19 outreach. This outreach is expected to continue till the lockdown is eased.
