From 4-8 September 2023, Don Bosco Vyawasaik Prashikshan Kendra (DBVPK), Chinchwad, embarked on an enriching journey by organizing an Orientation Week for its first-year students across various trades. This initiative aimed to acquaint students with the institution's mission and objectives while fostering a sense of belonging among them, facilitating their adjustment to the academic environment, and nurturing meaningful relationships with their peers.

During this week, students received an insightful introduction to the institute, including its facilities and essential regulations. Each trade instructor meticulously outlined the courses they would be teaching, elucidating the content and syllabus for each subject. Furthermore, an engaging presentation showcased the state-of-the-art laboratories and other academic resources available at the institute.

To provide a deeper understanding of the institution's namesake, Saint John Bosco, a biographical film about his life and contributions was screened. This cinematic journey allowed students to connect with the values and principles that underline the institution.

An illuminating excursion to Chinchwad Science Park was a highlight of the Orientation Week. Guided by Mr Nilesh Chandgude, the Principal of the Institute, students had the opportunity to explore the latest innovations and discoveries in the realm of science. This visit not only kindled their curiosity but also illuminated the significant strides made by our nation in various scientific domains.

The culmination of the Orientation Week, on 8 September, was marked by a heartfelt felicitation of the esteemed teachers at DBVPK. Both first and second-year students came together to express their gratitude for the relentless commitment and dedication exhibited by their mentors. The first-year students extended their heartfelt thanks to the management, Principal, and faculty for orchestrating a profoundly enriching week that fostered a strong sense of community and preparedness for the challenges that lie ahead.

The Orientation Week speaks of the institution's commitment to holistic education and the nurturing of young minds. This week-long endeavour successfully achieved its goals of acclimating new students, imparting valuable knowledge, and cultivating a sense of community among peers. As the students embark on their educational journey at Don Bosco, Chinchwad, the memories and lessons from these days will undoubtedly guide them toward success in their academic pursuits and beyond.
