BIS #6443 Salesian Cooperators embrace the 'gospel' way of life

by Sudha Pillai [Secretary for the Coopeators]

On 05 September 2021, at 9:00 am, Father Diego Nunes, MumbaiSalesians' Salesian Family Delegate together with the Salesian Family, met for a spiritual renewal programme at Don Bosco Provincial House, Matunga,-Mumbai. Father Blany Pinto, Rector Don Bosco Lonavla, facilitated the recollection programme, in which 60 members participated.

Father Pinto preached on the faith of Abraham-Life, Hope and Truth. In his input, father Pinto said, “Our father Abraham lived a life of righteousness. We need to believe that God can do the impossible and that nothing is too hard for God. And our belief in God’s power and promises should be without wavering. Our trust in God’s guidance should direct us and lead us into uncharted territory as a Salesian Family. As we journey through life as pilgrims in the world, we need to look in faith to the coming Kingdom of God and the mission entrusted to us by Don Bosco. The Salesian Cooperators are called to live the Gospel message in the spirit of Saint John Bosco while choosing to live in the world.” After the inspiring talk, a few of the Salesian Family members shared their faith experiences which enriched the whole gathering.

“I felt that all my burdens have gone during the COVID-19 pandemic and I am feeling spiritually renewed. Receiving the Sacrament of the Confession was the best part of the programme,” said Mrs Freida, a Salesian Cooperator.

The Salesian Family members thanked all the Salesians who managed the logistics, and those who were available for the Sacrament of reconciliation.
