BIS #6221 St. Joseph's Wadala loves children
by Placida deSequeira Nazareth for BISMumbai
St. Joseph's High School Wadala celebrated Children's Day on 23 November 2020 via Microsoft Teams, to tell each child in the school, that they are special. The management and teachers along with the PTA put their best foot forward, to make children's day memorable for the students.
An apt prayer service, led by the Principal and Headmistress - Sangita Bhattacharya, seeking God's blessings, set the tone for the celebration. Melodious singing by the pre-primary teachers, graceful dance by the primary teachers, an amazing skit by the secondary teachers, a heart-touching poem expressing the sentiments, the stand-up comedy by the pastpupils and the rollicking 'Microsoft Team Baba' song by the entire staff, made up for the non-physical celebration the children's day.
Assistant Principal-Father Charlin Chandran, was the chief guest, who in his message, focused on having personal mentors in one's life. He also exhorted the parents to handle their children with care - as every action, attitude and behaviour builds the foundation of the child's life.
The animating nucleus consisted of teachers Lloyd, Chitra, Laila, Ursella, Ayesha, Emilia, Avinash, Somnath and Daisy, who did a spectacular job in putting the entire hour's programme together. The creative and innovative expression of love by the teachers, was acknowledged and appreciated by Umang Achalia, the headboy of the school.
