On January 24, 2025, Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul, hosted its 18th Annual Thanksgiving Day, an epitome of excellence and celebration. The presence of the illustrious Chief Guest, Dr Ram Chaddha—renowned orthopaedic surgeon and alumnus of Don Bosco School, Matunga—graced the occasion with unmatched prestige.

Dr Chaddha, a pioneer in Minimally Invasive Cosmetic Spine Surgery and Robotic Spine Surgery, and former President of the Indian Orthopaedic Association, is known for his exemplary professional and philanthropic contributions. His arrival was met with admiration, setting the tone for an extraordinary evening.

The program commenced with an enchanting prayer dance and a melodic welcome song by Classes I and II, evoking blessings and joy. Revered dignitaries, including Reverend Father Rector and Vice Principal Fr Shekar Mariadas, welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest with heartfelt eloquence.

A dignified felicitation ceremony honoured Dr Chaddha alongside former Principal Mrs Sangita Bhattacharya, retired art teacher Kiran Mhatre, and administrative staff Ms Lilian Viegas. Academic achievers of Classes X and XII, along with students excelling in sports, art, and culture, were also celebrated, fostering a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Dr Chaddha's inspiring keynote address urged students to embrace perseverance, humility, and innovation while contributing meaningfully to society.

The evening reached its zenith with a cultural extravaganza. The musical Dream On, conceptualized by Headmistress Ms Jyotsna D’Souza and directed by teacher Lisa, enthralled the audience. Performances like Class IX’s Dreamers and Class VII’s Mobile Addiction showcased artistic brilliance, culminating in the grand finale- ‘Come Celebrate Don Bosco.’

The Headmistress's eloquent vote of thanks expressed profound gratitude to all contributors. The evening concluded with the school anthem, uniting all in shared pride and joy.
