The recent decades can rightly be called the 'decades of the zoonotic diseases'! The entire world-as-we-know-it has been devastatingly affected by these animals-to-humans disease transference. The diseases - Ebola, Avian influenza [Bird Flu], H1N1 [Swine Flu], Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), Rift Valley Fever, Sudden Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), West Nile Virus, the Zika virus­, and the latest and newest Novel Coronavirus [COVID-19] - with their [bacteria, parasites, fungi] ability for adaptability, these species-jumping pathogens have unleashed havoc causing deaths in scores and threatened human life, through the unprecedented socio-economic impacts. The universal crisis' profound effect on the wellbeing of 'our common home', especially affects those already disadvantaged, impoverished and most vulnerable. Within this bleak and dark scenario, MumbaiSalesians are working toward long-term sustainability and adaptability, journeying with the young.

MumbaiSalesians' Prafulta Centre for Psychological Wellness situated at Andheri-Mumbai is to organise a Free Webinar BSAFE [Behavioural Skills and Functional Education] for Children with Different Needs, on 20 June from 05.30 p.m to 07.00 p.m via Zoom. The Panelists are: Father Godfrey D'Sa, Dr. Wilona Braganza,Dr. Payal Ubale and Divya Nair.
