Don Bosco ITI- Kurla undertook the formalization of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Drydocks World – Dubai FZCO, a globally renowned leader in ship repair, shipbuilding, and offshore services on 7 July 2025. The purpose of this MOU is to develop a mutually beneficial collaboration wherein Drydocks World – Dubai will take onboard interested candidates from DBITI-Kurla who fulfill the program criteria after providing a pre-employment training program and subsequently employ them in specialized fields relevant to the shipping and maritime industry.
This collaboration with Drydocks World – Dubai opens up a world of possibilities for the existing and past pupils of DBITI-Kurla. Drydocks World – Dubai will design and develop a training curriculum particularly directed to electricians and fitters to prepare them for global job opportunities. At the end of the two month program, the candidates will undergo trade assessments. It will be followed by a joint recruitment process through collaborative interviews, assessments, and evaluations. All the recruitment fees and related costs will be borne by Drydocks World. The selected candidates will receive a pre-employment visa and onboarding ticket free of charge. After joining, they will be provided with accommodation, a residence visa, insurance, and medical treatment free of charge as per Drydocks' policies.
