by Brother Vishal Waghmare for BISMumbai

MumbaiSalesians in initial formation - 16 collegians and practical trainees - met on 17 and 18 November at the Don Bosco Provincial House Matunga-Mumbai. The 02-day meet, an annual feature, was convened by ViceProvincial Father Ashley Miranda, who also presided at the inaugural Eucharist.

Father Ajoy Fernandes-Director Don Bosco Prafulta Youth Counselling Services conducted the 1st session inviting the participants to share experiences, interact with one another and forge a bond of positive unity. In another session. Province Economer Father Manuel Murzello interacted with the participants narrating his practical training experience, exhorting the brothers to live daily a joyful and principled Salesian life, having recourse to spiritual direction. He also stressed the need to proactively make all Salesian campuses eco-friendly and green, across the province.

Father Miranda animated the remainder of the sessions, focusing on the 08 priorities of the Rector Major. Inviting each to understand the deeper meaning of the call, and the significance of primarily discovering one's human vocation based on the kingdom-values, he requested the participants to diligently follow the 'personal plan of life' as is expected of each Salesian.

Well-animated prayer moments, a high-adrenaline game of football and familial-interaction brought the 02-day meet to an end, with each of the participants departing to unlock the 'new normal'.
