BIS #6597 DRISTI & Ashadeep Staff Capacity Building at Boscowadi

Mumbai Salesians' DRISTI Don Bosco Kapadvanj and Gujarat Jesuits' Ashadeep Human Development Centre Vidyanagar, jointly organised a weekend 02-day Staff Capacity Building workshop for their respective staff, at Boscowadi Gorai-Uttan on 25-26 February 2022.

The number of staff-participants including resource persons was 22. The topics were: effective leadership, effective communication, field-visit essential-strategies, report-writing, success story-writing, planning, execution and evaluation. The main resource animator was the renowned and reputed trainer of trainers Shri Ratilal Jadav, with Ashadeep Assistant Director-Hasmukh Christian, DRISTI Programme Officer-Shailesh Parmar and DRISTI Director-Father Mayank Parmar. The animation sessions were interactive, with lively discussions, Q&A, and engaging participation.

Apart from the training, fruitful discussions and lively interaction, this was an occasion for some of the staff to enjoy the beautiful sea-side and the scenic Boscowadi campus for the first time. Some of the other participants had a swimming-pool experience for the first time. One of the participants was overjoyed and remarked, "I am travelling by train for the very first time," while the others watched him get down from the train and enjoy the escalator ride going up and down at the railway station.

Sunday 27 February, was set aside specifically for Mumbai Darshan, with a bus arranged for the purpose to help participants visit the most famous spots in Mumbai, experiencing the busy traffic and life of Mumbai for a day. The entire arrangement at Boscowadi and the Mumbai Darshan, were looked after with the generous hospitality of the Salesians at Borivli.

Smt. Minaxiben one of the DRISTI participants, said, "although I will be retiring in September 2022, after attending this training it seems there's no retirement age, and I can continue my service till my body accompanies me." Shri Jadav remarked, "this was a marvellous experience for me to interact and animate the participants in such a scenic and natural ambient."
