BIS #6260 St. Joseph's Wadala celebrates Republic Day

St. Joseph’s High School Wadala celebrated India’s 72nd Republic Day via Microsoft Teams with immense passion and enthusiasm.

The 'guard of honour' led by the N.C.C cadets, accompanied the chief guest and other dignitaries to the dais. Advay Somani, a past pupil, the chief guest, accompanied by his parents hoisted the National flag in the presence of the Management. The students showcased their talent through a variety of colourful performances. The scintillating and enthralling dance performance by the primary students and the melodious patriotic songs of the others, manifested the love of the students for the country.

Sarthak Naik delivered a heart warming speech, leading all into retrospection, accentuating India's achievements. The fervour of patriotism was enkindled, with a powerpoint presentation focusing on the sacrifices, commitment and dedication of the sons and daughters of the motherland. A poem by the head boy, Umang, stirred up pride in the hearts of all.

A special prayer service was also conducted in honour of St. John Bosco, followed by a video on his life, to pay homage to the father and teacher of the young. Principal and HeadMistress-Sangita Bhattacharya, proposed the vote of thanks, acknowledging the painstaking efforts of teachers Saluja, Raj, Chitra and Somnath who coordinated and executed the programme to fruition.
