Bosco Boys' Home [BBH] Borivali restarted the 'scouting movement' on the birth anniversary of Lord Baden Powell [BP]. Every year 22 February, is celebrated as World Thinking Day or Scout Founder’s Day with scouts and guides paying homage to BP and the scouting movement. With the guidance of BBH resident Scout Master Cleric Nitesh Damor, District Scout Trainer Mark Pereira and Leader Trainer Santosh Parandwal, the boys at BBH staged a short programme that lasted for an hour and a half.

The programme showcased the eagerness, hard-work and scouting enthusiasm of the boys, who displayed the will to 'be prepared' at all times, with hopes of future participation at the State and District level scouting events. The demonstrated their skill with just a few days of preparation through the usual scouting events - flag break, march past, skill-o-rama, tent pitching, compass usage, mapping, emergency first aid, signalling, gadget-construction, cooking and patrolling.

The short programme ended with timeless scouting wisdom, emphasising purpose of holistic development, grooming future citizens with a sense of self-confidence, self-esteem, life skills, leadership skills, team work, education, and communication skills.
