BIS #6429 ADMA Mumbai spearheads Nativity of Our Lady Novena online

by Ashwin Fernandes [Secretary ADMA Mumbai]

ADMA Mumbai firmly believes that 'a family that prays together stays together'. In the lockdown due to the widespread pandemic, all churches are not yet open to public. In the normal course of events, all Marian shrines and churches are filled with thronging crowds of devotees, during the Novena in preparation for the Nativity of our Blessed Mother.

As a sigh of relief, ADMA Mumbai has come to the forefront and begun Rosary and Novena services online on YouTube, wherein members of a particular family recite the Holy Rosary together, and all devotees partake in the online rosary, followed by the Nativity of Our Lady led by different priests.

To cater to the different languages one decade of the Holy Rosary and Novena is recited in different languages daily.i.e English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati , East Indian Marathi, Konkani, etc. To make it more appealing and interesting, each decade of the Holy Rosary is animated and stories of Marian Apparitions and Miracles of our Blessed Mother are included after the Holy Rosary.

This year 2021, the theme is to involve children and youth. This was only possible with active support and guidance from our current Spiritual Director and MumbaiSalesians' ViceProvincial Father Ashley Miranda and also past directors including Mumbaisalesians' Economer Father Manuel Murzello and former director Father Anthony Goyal.

ADMA Mumbai will be celebrating its 12th anniversary on 08 September 2021, since its Mumbai inception in 2009, by Father Wilfred D’souza.
