Celebrating how a single dream can inspire countless hearts, the students of the Primary Section at Don Bosco High School, Matunga held a Cultural day showcasing a spectacular display of imagination and unity on August 31, 2024.

The morning began with a warm welcome to the members of the management and parents, followed by a welcome song and dance by a few students of class IV. Thanking God for the gift of a beautiful day, the students sang a song of blessing.

A skit was presented by a group of talented students, titled ‘The Dream That Inspired Millions’. This skit, which dramatized the inspiring life of St. John Bosco, featured young Giovanni’s dream that eventually led to a movement helping countless street children. The portrayal was both educational and emotionally touching, leaving many in the audience reflecting on the power of dreams and the impact of one person’s vision.

Fr Godfrey Dsouza, the Rector of the school, took the stage to share his thoughts on the importance of nurturing dreams and values in young minds. He emphasized that our dreams help us give a sense of direction to our life. He urged the children to never give up on their dreams and to always work on fulfilling it. The Principal, Mrs Anita Philip praised the students and teachers for their remarkable performances and all the efforts taken to make this show a successful event.

Mrs Ronela D’Silva, a parent of one of the students commended the efforts put in by all the students. She emphasized that the theme of the cultural day resonated well in the present day where all of us live in a world that is constantly in need of inspiration.

Wrapping up the program, the students performed a thank-you song, ‘Top of the World’, which celebrated the indispensable role of parents by being the part of their lives.
