BIS #5911 DON BOSCO SEAWOODS-NERUL CONTINUES OUTREACH

The Don Bosco School Society, Seawoods-Nerul outreach programme continues unabated bringing relief aid to the needy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
On 06 April ration of rice, wheat flour, pulses, oil, sugar and tea powder was distributed to the construction workers. On 07 April ration of rice, wheat flour, pulses, sugar, tea-powder, oil and condiments was distributed through a grocery store to the underprivileged families of the school students. On 08 April food bags consisting of food grains and pulses were distributed among the construction workers stranded at a construction site at Belapur node. On 09 April 500kg rice, 250kg pulses and 75kg salt was contributed towards the food aid programme, initiated through the office of the Deputy Commissioner of NMMC, Shri Chabukswar. On 10 April ration was distributed to the daily wage earners living in Nerul shanty. On 11 April 100kg rice, 25kg pulses and condiments was donated to Good Bye Hunger Group for their cooking and distribution programme among the destitute. On 12 April the families of the evening oratory were provided with foodgrains and other essentials through a grocery store. On 13 April the security guards were provided with ration to last for a week.
A parent after receiving the ration said “I do not have enough words to express my gratitude to the school and its management, God bless you all.” Father D’souza said "as we enter into the Easter season, I would like to mention a special world of gratitude to the response received, to support the needy in these difficult times."
