The Sunday school children and catechists of Our Lady of Dolours Church, Wadala, came together in joy and gratitude to celebrate Parent's Day on Sunday, July 20, 2025.

The celebration began with the Holy Eucharist at 9:15 a.m., offered in thanksgiving for the love and sacrifices of our parents. It was a spiritually enriching moment that set the tone for the day's events.

Following the Mass, a short yet meaningful program was held in the school auditorium. The event was graced by Fr Bonny Borges as the Chief Guest, along with special guests Mr Pascal D'Monte and his wife Mrs Bridget D'Monte accompanied by our Parish Priest Fr James Nigrel and Sunday School Director Fr. Solomon Rapol.

The program featured a variety of heartfelt performances. A lively dance was performed by the primary section that brought smiles to everyone’s face. A thought-provoking skit was showcased by the 5th and 6th standard students, shedding light on the selfless service of parents. A skit by confirmation students emphasized on the importance of quality time with family and the need to limit mobile phone usage and focus on individual strengths.

In addition to the performances, the event also included games, spot prizes, and a special token of appreciation for all parents.

The celebration beautifully acknowledged the invaluable role parents play in our lives and created cherished memories for all.
