by Francis D'Souza for BISMumbai

Don Bosco Youth Services Matunga-Mumbai is hosting the Youth Choir Retreat for young people aged 16-25, which started on 31 January 2020.

Organised by the DYC-Diocesan Youth Centre of the Archdiocese of Bombay, this retreat intended as a spiritual livein of music, prayer and liturgical input for song-leaders/choristers based on psalms, hymns, gospel music and secular songs is currently underway at the Don Bosco Matunga Campus.

Over 55 God's Chorus Disciples tuned in to Deacon Ivan Fernandes-Director DYC at the opening session who said, "we need to make an effort and be open to be tuned like the strings of the guitar, which may initially be painful, but the melodies that emerge with practice, patience and perseverance are harmonious."

Father McEnroe Lopes-Director DBYS presided at the inaugural mass in the Shrine Crypt, and invited the retreatants to, "live a purposeful life and use music as an instrument to enhance and guide this purposeful life."

This one-of-a-kind retreat concludes on 02 February 2020.
