BIS #6752 Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at St Joseph’s

The management and staff of St Joseph’s High School, Wadala, celebrated India's 76th Independence Day with great fervour and patriotism.
The guard of honour led by the N.C.C cadets, accompanied the Chief Guest and other dignitaries to the dais. Mast. Shivam Bhalerao, the top ranker of batch 2021-22, was the Chief Guest for the occasion, and he hoisted the National Flag. The Rector, Fr James Nigrel, addressed the school community and urged the students to think of what freedom really meant to each one of them, speaking about the importance of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity and brotherhood through scintillating performances that included dance and singing manifesting the love the students have for the country. In his speech, Mast. Ayush Nikam spoke of the achievements of the nation in the past 75 years. Later, the Chief Guest addressed the students with his success story and mentioned the key elements in life that led him to success.
The Principal, Fr Blaise Fernandes, proposed the vote of thanks, and acknowledged the painstaking efforts of the teachers who put up a wonderful programme.
