BIS #6117 Don Bosco Waluj conducts Climate Change Awareness

Don Bosco Waluj conducted a Climate Change Awareness Programme for 80 women of Pendapur village in Gangapur Taluka on 21 August 2020. The participants were made aware of the crying need to care for Mother Earth. This awareness programme is part of the Don Bosco Climate Change Project which focuses on awareness, and sustainable action to mitigate the repercussions that are occurring across the world.
During the programme, the women were made aware that because of human failure for so many years to care for planet Earth, the Earth and all humans are being affected in various ways across the world.The women were encouraged to experiment in organic farming which will be their contribution towards caring for the earth. They were also provided a short training session on preparation of organic fertilizers at home. This was followed by a live demo in the field of one of the participants.The Climate Change Project is funded by Don Bosco Mondo Germany.
