BIS #6437 A day at Dominic Savio Andheri-Boarders' Delight

by Cleric Shivraj Bhuriya wiht Father Wilfred D'Souza for BIS Mumbai

Our youngsters of classes IX and X beamed with joy from the moment they were back, even if it was for a day on 05 September. It was the same on 22 August, when we had the boys of classes VI, VII and VIII. They came together with their parents. The similar programme on both days, began with parents meeting the Rector individually, to discuss the students’ progress in their studies.

The Holy Eucharist was then celebrated by Boarding In-charge Father Kiran Salve, and followed by tea and snacks. After a short break, the younger group, comprising some new entrants, along with their parents were taken for a tour of the house. Then followed the much awaited football match on the turf ground – an unforgettable experience! After a good game, there was delicious lunch served for all.

The programme ended with the distribution of a bag of rations. The parents too were happy that they had the chance to visit St. Dominic Savio Boys’ Home and thanked the community profusely, for the hospitality, care, and concern shown them in these pandemic situations.
