MumbaiSalesians' Father Stanny Ferreira celebrates 50 golden years of his 1st religious profession as a Salesian of Don Bosco this year 2020-21. Father Ferreira currently Rector and Manager at Alirajpur Don Bosco Shaikshanik Samajik Kendra celebrated this golden occasion, with the Salesian community, parishioners and the school deciding to felicitate him on 07 February 2021.

Bishop Basil Bhuriya of Jhabua Diocese graced the occasion and presided at the holy Eucharist, highlighting the qualities of Father Ferreira as a good shepherd and great missionary faithfully working in the vineyard of the Lord, even at the grave risk of shedding his blood. The religious and clergy working in the Jhabua diocese together with the youth and the parishioners also appreciated Father Ferreira through a short programme with speeches, dances, songs and cutting of the cake, followed by fellowship meal for all.

The well-wishers and others at the felicitation ceremony expressed their indebtedness to Father Ferreira, for his tireless service for the last 21 years, especially in the tribal belt of Alirajpur, among the indigenous Bhils and Bhilalas, in the areas of social work in different villages, education, youth animation and faith formation.
