BIS #6448 Teachers’ Day Celebration at STI

by BISMumbai Correspondent

The novices of STI hosted a short and beautiful Teachers’ Day programme in appreciation for their teachers and formators. It was held on 5th September (Sunday) 2021 at 4.00 pm. The well-done décor and preparations enrich the atmosphere of the celebration. The program began with the lighting of the lamp, signifying the dispelling of darkness and ignorance. This was followed by a song “You have made a Difference”. The novices then showed their love and gratitude through an address of appreciation and a felicitation, presenting cards and gifts. Sir Wamane (Marathi teacher) gave a Teacher’s Day speech. This was further followed by a dance by the novices and a musical piece by Fr. Kenneth Pereira SDB. The program was concluded with a prayer for all the teachers, and then all joined for teatime together.
