BIS #6205 RDBTC Chakan 'reinvents' with DBVPK Chinchwad

by Father Briston Britto for BISMumbai

Getting 'Chakan on Wheels' [Chakavar Chakan] has been a slow yet steady process with tracking loads of goods, materials, tools and machinery, the primary and ultimate concern of the technical units. Rasquinha Don Bosco Technical Centre Chakan [RDBTC] underwent a ‘inventory phase’ with a thorough dead-stock check in collaboration with Don Bosco Vyavasaik Prashikshan Kendra Chinchwad [DBVPK ] guided by its Director Father Sanjay Lopes.

A 'Mission Chakan on Wheels' squad consisting of 06 proficient automobile and CNC instructors from DBVPK along with the instructors of RDBTC, in 02 groups of 03 each took stock of the machines and tools. The 'Dead-Stock Register' was duly filled with pertinent entries of the equipment, dates of installation, current market value and a tag on each machinery.

Each register was counter signed by persons who did the inventory, instructors and the technical in-charge. DBVPK store-keeper Sachin Auchare provided the final stamp with observations on the inventory, consumables and the scrap.
