Vadodara, July 9, 2025: Don Bosco High School, Makarpura, Vadodara in Gujarat, held its Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2025–2026 with solemnity and pride. The ceremony marked the official appointment of the newly elected student council and class monitors.
The occasion was graced by the Rector and Manager Fr Brian Moras SDB, who was the Chief Guest, and the Principal Mrs Leena Varghese, and Fr Chris Ferreira SDB. They were warmly welcomed and escorted by the school scouts: Dhruv Sharma, Dhruv Chauhan, Mihir Pawar, and Manav Bagul. All guests were presented with saplings as a symbol of growth and goodwill.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp, followed by a prayer dance performed in the Bharatanatyam style by students. A highlight of the event was the felicitation of academic toppers from the year 2024–2025 and their parents. Herambh Zanzane secured the highest score in Class 10 with 96%, Kavya Prajapati topped the Science stream with 89.71%, Preet Tolani led the Commerce stream with 86.27%, and Sakshi Mistry was the Arts stream topper with 86%. The toppers and their families were honoured as guests and they were given the honour of pinning the badges of the four school house leaders.
Fr Moras addressed the students and inspired them to be responsible and leaders driven by Salesian values. The investiture of the Head Boy, Samuel D’Souza, and Head Girl, Upasana Mistry, was carried out by Fr Moras and Mrs Varghese, with their respective badges, sashes, and flags. All student leaders from the primary, secondary and higher secondary sections also took oaths to uphold the values of honesty, teamwork, and service.
The class monitors from standards 6 to 12 were invested by Fr Ferreira. The ceremony concluded with the unfurling of the flags, the school anthem, and a vote of thanks by the Head Girl.
The event ended on a patriotic note with the national anthem, snacks and a photo session with the guests of honour and the chief guest for the occasion. The ceremony was a proud moment for the school, celebrating leadership, commitment, and excellence.
