The oratory football tournament for the children of the daily oratory at Don Bosco Youth Centre Koregaon Road was held on 29 February 2020, with 70 youngsters, registered and daily oratory comers, in the age bracket of 09-27 years.

Father Briston Britto -Director Diocesan Catechetical Centre, along with Fathers Ivan deSouza and Richard D'Silva welcomed the youngsters and informed them about the need to always be with Don Bosco and to make good choices for life.

With 03 categories - U14, U17 and Open, the boys played in a team spirit wearing similar jerseys, displaying their unity by practising together, and playing with disciplined skill. There was a good coordination that was a welcome sight to witness on the ground.

The sponsors St. Joseph’s Youth Ghorpuri were present through the day cheering the youngsters and sharing time with them. The day saw a good level of sportsmanship while the winners rallied with trophies and the runners up cheered them for their skilful play.

Saket an oratory boy remarked, “ Thanks brothers for making this day such a memorable one....we enjoyed it!”

The fiesta ended with a scrumptious meal and ice cream that was shared along with the youth of Ghorpuri parish. It was a beautiful witness value and the rapport of the Salesian’s in their Don Bosco jerseys with the youngsters, that was the highlight of the day.
