A vibrant spirit of love, laughter, and gratitude came alive at two parishes in Nashik, viz., Don Bosco Parish, Nashik, and St Dominic Savio Parish, Satpur, as the youth organized the grand celebration of Grandparents’ and Parents’ Day on July 27, 2025. The evening was a beautiful blend of fun, faith, and family bonding.
At the Don Bosco Parish, the evening celebration commenced with a warm welcome to all parents and grandparents, acknowledging their unconditional love and tireless support. The program unfolded with a delightful dance performance by the catechism children, radiating joy and innocence that brought smiles to every face in the audience. This was followed by the youth who performed their dynamic and energetic dance that added a splash of vibrancy to the celebration. To keep the spirit uplifted, the catechism children returned with a melodious song performance, spreading a heartfelt message of gratitude and affection towards parents.
Ms Mary Joseph, Vice President of the Parish Youth, then felicitated the parents with her warm address, thanking the grandparents and parents. This was followed by a reflective and uplifting message from our Parish Priest, Fr Royal D’Abreo, who emphasized the importance of unity in families and the role of parents as pillars of faith and hope in today’s world.
The evening concluded on a high note with a lively jam session where parents, children, and youth came together on the dance floor, celebrating the bond of family with laughter, music, and togetherness.
At St Dominic Savio Parish, Satpur, the youth and the catechism children melodiously serenaded the gathering. They shared their love and appreciation towards the nurturing attitude and guidance of the parents through their melody. Through their lovely voices, they created a heavenly atmosphere that made the guests of honour of the day-the parents-feel loved and cared for. These songs thanked the parents for their unwavering commitment and sacrifices.
Parents’ Day Celebrations at the two parishes were not just an event—they were a celebration of relationships, a reminder of blessings, and a promise to cherish our parents every single day.
