BIS #6893 Annual Day at St Joseph’s Wadala

The 106th Annual Thanksgiving Day of St Joseph's High School, Wadala was held on 3 February 2023.
The Chief Guest, Fr Flovi D'Souza, the director for the education department of the Province of Bombay, along with Guests of Honour comprising the Salesians of the institution and other distinguished staff members, graced this auspicious occasion with their presence.
The honourable guests were given a warm welcome and were felicitated on stage by the comperes, the Awesome Josephite Seven representing the different elements of nature. They weaved the sequence of presentations on stage in style, with their fantastic and intriguing repertoire, keeping the audience rapt with attention from the start to finish. The prayer dance performed by the parents was truly spiritually uplifting. The welcome song and dance by the Kindergarten students struck a chord in every heart, making everyone happy! The folk dancers from Classes 1 and 2 depicted the folk dances of Kashmir, Assam, Rajasthan and Maharashtra and the folk dancers from Class 5 who portrayed the states of Kerala, Punjab, Goa and Bengal were graceful and breath-taking!
The felicitation ceremony honouring the presence of the distinguished guests by the Management was solemn and heart-warming. The Head teacher of the Primary and Secondary Sections conducted the prize distribution ceremony. The winners felt elated as they were awarded for being the best in different categories.
The Chief Guest, Fr D'Souza was ecstatic as he expressed his sentiments of pure joy, witnessing the incredible talent of all the students right from the tiny tots to the teenagers. Mr Rajshekhar Reddy shared his feelings about reaching the special milestone of 25 glorious years in the school. Mrs Sangita Bhattacharya, a true Salesian educator at heart, expressed her joy at being back with the children.
The musical ‘Beauty and the Beast’ was a sight to behold! All the dancers, singers and actors made the story captivating and enthralling! The vote of thanks proposed by the Principal, Fr Blaise Fernandes commended the fabulous team work exhibited by the entire Josephite family to make the 106th Annual Thanksgiving Day a grand success!
