The main objective in conducting the elections was to train students to manage the affairs of the school, and to enable them to understand the significance of the election process in a democracy.

The election process commenced by the speeches delivered by the candidates contesting for the School Captains post followed by the speeches of the candidates contesting for the vice-Captains post. All the contestants appealed to the students to vote for them and also promised them of efficient leadership if elected.

Later in the day, candidates contesting for the post of House Captains gave their speeches. After that the election was held in the form of a secret ballot, wherein the voters were given the freedom to choose their leader, with confidentiality.
