To commemorate 75 years of India’s independence and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements, Don Bosco High School, Borivli, had a grand ceremony on 15 August 2022. The high school and the junior college students along with the management and staff witnessed the celebrations.
The event was graced by Dr Deepak Hinde, PSI - Borivli Police Station, who was present for the program as the Chief Guest for the day. In his address to the students, he emphasised on the importance and contributions of every individual in making India a dream nation. He also exhorted the students to strive hard in their studies for our nation will prosper only when her citizens are educated.
It had been a weeklong festivity as the students across the different sections participated in varied competitions organised to highlight the sacrifices made by the great leaders and the humble civilians to see a free India. The speeches, the songs and the dances were simply fantabulous adding to the grandiosity of the event thereby arousing a deep and intense patriotic spirit in the hearts of those gathered.
Fr Flovi D’Souza, the Principal, urged the students to live the ideals of the great individuals who shed their blood for the cause of this great country. This sweet moment is an occasion to pledge to strive to protect the peace, diversity, harmony, and unity of this great nation.
