BIS #6262 Bosco Boys' Home Borivali celebrates India as a Republic

Eagerly waiting 26 January, Bosco Boys' Home turned out in scouting gear, having been put through a gruelling training schedule in preparation for Republic Day by Shri Santosh Parandwal – Asst. District Commissioner for Scout Wing in East Mumbai Suburban Bharat Scouts and Guides of the Maharashtra State Bharat Scouts and Guides Association.

A short cultural programme was organised by the students with the help of the teachers and resident Salesians. Rector-Father Corlis Gonsalves introduced the chief guest Smt. Helen Fonseca who briefly addressed the gathering. Pratik Gade and Devraj Tayde then delivered a short note on the importance of Republic Day in English and Hindi, followed by a skit, dance and a patriotic song.

A football tournament was organised by coaches Keenan, Savio and Anirudh for the seniors, while the juniors had their regular practice. Cleric Nitesh Damor followed up the preparations and the boys were enthusiastic to display their talents, both at the cultural and sporting arena.
