BIS #5994 WELCOME & FAREWELL AT DON BOSCO KAPADVANJ

Don Bosco Kapadvanj organised a 'welcome' and 'farewell' programme for Br. Jerome Mendonca and Father Dinesh Vasava. Close collaborators, DRISTI staff and Amrutdhara staff participated in the programme. Br. Mendoca assumes responsibility as farm manager, while Father Vasava is preparing to proceed for further studies.

Br. Mendonca, who was till 23 May at Karjat Don Bosco Yuva Sanstha, arrived in Kapadvanj on 01 June. With all seriousness, he has already assumed charge of the farm and has already initiated a 'vegetables and plant' project. This welcome was to wish him all the success as farm manager.

Appointed Director Amrutdhara Don Bosco Animation Centre, from 24 May 2016, Father Vasava, held responsibility as the Vice Rector of the house, and used his natural talents and even took charge as farm manager till date. He was also the Gujarat region [GuRaM] vocation promoter and the Salesian Youth Ministry delegate. As Amrutdhara Director, he ushered in the use of multimedia animation, initiating the daily Chintan Kanika, Sunday video reflection, and Santo ni Kedie video reflection on the lives of the saints.. He also encouraged value education students to use multimedia instead of charts in presenting the assigned themes. He also has a book published to his credit in Gujarati on Mickey Magone, released during the SYMBIOS 2017 at Dakor.

Pravin Parmar, Amrutdhara staff and clerical assistant said, "Father Dinesh was more than task oriented. He was person oriented and always cared for me and showed his concern for me." Mahendra Macwan, DRISTI staff and collaborator said, " Father always inquired about our wellbeing and of the progress report of DRISTI." Sanjay Parmar, also of DRISTI shared, "Father Vasava has always been concerned and interested in us." Shailesh Parmar, Programme Officer DRISTI expressed, "talking with Father Dinesh was always like talking with someone from the family," while Jyotikaben shared, "Father has always been cheerful and encouraging."

Father Ashwin Macwan, Asst. Director Amrutdhara and Administrator wished Father Vasava, "every success and good luck for further studies." May Father Vasava's encouraging, supportive and collaborative nature help him in everything that lies ahead.
