BIS #6571 Don Bosco Nashik celebrates Republic Day

On the auspicious morning of 26 January, Don Bosco School Nashik, celebrated India’s 73rd Republic Day with elan, while following the protocols of COVID-19 appropriate behaviour.

The short programme began at 8.30 am in the school quadrangle, where the students welcomed the management. Rector-Father Royal D'Abreo unfurled the National Flag in the presence of the teaching and non-teaching staff, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The atmosphere was further enhanced with patriotic zeal, with the melodious rendition of 'Ye watan, mere Watan' by the students and teachers.

Labdhi Lodha explained the real meaning and importance of the Republic Day, highlighting the fact that it is the citizens of India who make up and preserve this Republic as its ultimate stakeholders. She also stressed on the responsibility of the youth to make India a progressive, confident and forward-looking nation.

The ceremony concluded with the song 'Aao bacchon tumhe dikhaye jhake Hindustan ki'. It was an amazing occasion with feelings of patriotism, gratitude, happiness and hope.
