The Stellar Don Bosco Academy organized a Calligraphy Workshop on August 14, 2024, for the school's students. Students from classes 3 – 12 attended the engaging workshop.  The event, held in three sessions, was designed to introduce students to the intricate and elegant world of calligraphy.

The workshop was facilitated by Sneha Gupta, a renowned calligraphy artist and founder of Wanderlust Art Studio, based in Nerul, Navi Mumbai. She, has helped over 5000+ students get trained both online and offline in this art. Sneha brought her expertise and passion for calligraphy to the students of Don Bosco school. Her book, "Modern Calligraphy," serves as a guide for those eager to learn the art form.

Sneha introduced the students to the world of beautifully styled alphabets adorned with swirls and flourishes. She demonstrated various techniques of calligraphic writing and drawing skilfully, illustrating the intricate process of creating stunning letterforms. The students, ranging from young beginners to more advanced learners, watched intently as Gupta showcased her techniques, drawing admiration and inspiration from her expertise. There was a Q & A session after each session. This interactive component provided students with the opportunity to clarify doubts and gain insights into refining their own calligraphic skills. She gave them practical tips and advice on calligraphy and the fact that they can pursue it as a hobby or career.

Following each session, Gupta engaged the students in a Q&A segment, allowing them to delve deeper into the art of calligraphy and seek personalized advice. This interactive component provided students with the opportunity to clarify doubts and gain insights into refining their own calligraphic skills.

The workshop not only highlighted Gupta’s considerable talent but also emphasized the importance of artistic expression and craftsmanship. The feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their newfound appreciation for calligraphy and eagerness to practice the skills they had learned.

Supervisor Jyotsna D’souza of Don Bosco School commended the workshop, noting, “Sneha Gupta’s session was both enlightening and inspiring. Our students gained a valuable insight into the art of calligraphy and had the chance to interact with one of the leading experts in the field. This workshop will surely ignite a passion for calligraphy among our students.”

The students left with not only new skills but also a deeper appreciation for the art of calligraphy, thanks to the dedication and expertise of Sneha Gupta.
