As the anxiety and angst with the escalation in numbers of people testing positive for the COVID-19 increases, with the tally in Maharashtra touching 7,000, the Don Bosco Development Society [DBDS] continues its outreach. In the remote villages of Ahmednagar District and the Parner Block, in association with the Salesians managing the St. Anne's Parish in Ahmednagar City, DBDS has ensured a supply of essential provisions to 400 poorest deprived.

The DBDS procured and distributed provision kits are expected to sustain the 400 rural impoverished for about a month. Basic toiletries have also been distributed. The outreach was coordinated by Father Vishal Lopes. Ramesh Bhosale and members of the Vincent dePaul confraternity of the St. Anne's Parish. The team personally delivered these relief kits following all the expected procedural directives. The COVID_19 Relief Outreach was made possible with financial assistance from generous donors based in the USA and Germany.

Executive Director DBDS, Father Rolvin D'mello says, "this is a very small measure of our outreach at this difficult time. Thanks to our donors, the Salesians and the Vincent dePaul association, we could atleast render our assistance to 400 individuals."
