On 1 August 2022, Fr Savio Silveira, the Provincial of the Province of Bombay, launched the E-Mobility Technologist Course at Don Bosco, Aurangabad. There are 20 students for the first batch of this new venture.
Fr Savio Silveira was the chief guest for the programme. The director of Don Bosco, Aurangabad, Fr Jesu Robinson, welcomed those present and addressed them saying, “It’s indeed a joyous day for everyone because the inauguration is taking place in the month of August, it is the birth month of our father and founder Don Bosco and Fr Silveira, the Provincial, represents Don Bosco for us.
Fr Egidius Falcao, conducted a meaningful prayer service with the lighting of the lamp. The chief guest and other guests were felicitated with mango saplings each. While addressing everyone, Fr Silveira highlighted the growth of E-mobility and the movement all over the world, especially focusing on Germany and India.
Fr Silveira motivated the students by saying that they were privileged to have this course in Aurangabad, and explained the importance of the course. He exhorted them to dream bigger and work towards higher posts rather than being content with working for low-income jobs. Br Alex Gonsalves, the local Social Ministry delegate, motivated the students with his motivational talk by giving his personal example. Mr Vikas Bodhak, the instructor, then spoke on global warming and the advantages of e-vehicles with his video presentation.
After the talks, Fr Silveira inaugurated the workshop and blessed the place. The program concluded with Fr Falcao expressing gratitude to all present for this historic moment at Don Bosco, Aurangabad.
