Kawant, August 2, 2025 – The atmosphere at DISHA Don Bosco, Kawant, was charged with pride and celebration as the fourth batch of the BRIDGE course—BOSCH’s Response to India’s Development and Growth through Employability Enhancement—successfully completed their training. The certificate distribution ceremony was a vibrant showcase of achievement, partnership, and youth empowerment.
The BRIDGE program, a two-month vocational training initiative, is aimed at enhancing the employability of rural youth. Organized by DISHA Don Bosco, Kawant, and supported by Rotary Club of Jawaharnagar, Vadodara, Muni Seva Ashram, Ghoraj, and BOSCH India, the course equips students with essential life and career skills. The curriculum integrates spoken English, computer literacy, and employability modules, providing participants with the tools needed for workplace success.
The ceremony opened with a solemn prayer song and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by dignitaries, symbolizing wisdom and enlightenment. Mr Hasmukh Christian, Programme Officer at DISHA, welcomed the gathering with warm words of encouragement.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, including: Rotarian Umed Fifdra, Past President, Rotary Club of Jawaharnagar, Vadodara; Rotarian Mitesh Vadhai, Current President; Rotarian Manoj Adalja and Rotarian Kirit Dholakia, key supporters of the project; Fr Dr Mayank Parmar SDB, Rector, Don Bosco Kawant; Fr Ajay Shelke SDB, Principal, Gujarati Medium School; Fr Agnel Dias SDB, Principal, English Medium School; Br Melvyn Carvalho SDB, Administrator, Don Bosco Kawant; and Mr. Rajeshbhai, Representative, Muni Seva Ashram, Ghoraj.
A delightful cultural dance by Ms Priyanshi and her team reflected the local vibrancy and the enthusiasm of the students. The heart of the event was the distribution of certificates to the graduates, each recognized personally by the dignitaries. Students shared moving testimonies of growth and transformation: Ms Priyanshi Rathwa spoke about the inspirational learning environment. Master Dharmesh Rathwa highlighted the excellent computer facilities and dedicated teaching. Ms Archana Rathwa shared her newfound confidence in English and computer skills.
In their addresses, the dignitaries emphasized the importance of skill-building and collaboration. Rotarian Mitesh Vadhai praised the dedication of the Don Bosco team and recognized the consistent support from fellow Rotarians. Mr Rajeshbhai shared insights on the wider network of vocational opportunities available through Muni Seva Ashram.
Fr Parmar concluded the ceremony with a heartfelt vote of thanks to all collaborators, staff, and the determined young learners whose achievements inspire the entire Don Bosco network.
The celebration ended with a time of fellowship and refreshments, reflecting the spirit of unity and shared purpose.
