Christmas, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, brings hope, love, and joy to people worldwide. This central event of the Christian faith inspires a spirit of sharing and caring, beautifully demonstrated across INB institutions during December 2024.

Don Bosco Edu Complex, Yerwada celebrated across all sections on December 19th, with tailored programs for different age groups. The Pre-Primary and Primary students gathered in the school hall with Fr Alex Carvalho, while secondary students celebrated on school grounds with Fr Michael Fernandes. Junior College students enjoyed their celebration with Fr Crispino D'Souza, the Rector and Principal. Each section presented tableaux, carols, and Christmas dances, with Santa's appearance bringing special joy. The celebrations concluded with classroom snacks amid an atmosphere of carols and happiness.

Don Bosco School (CBSE) Borivali's pre-primary section transformed their halls with lights and vibrant decorations for a week-long celebration. Students dressed in festive colors participated in a meaningful assembly featuring nativity scenes and Christmas carols. Children showcased their creativity through article-making competitions, crafting decorated trees, bells, and cards that adorned the school corridors. Principal Fr. Flovi Dsouza praised their performances, while Santa's appearance delighted the young students. The celebration emphasized sharing, with children distributing sweets and essential items to those in need.

Don Bosco, Nashik celebrated with equal enthusiasm through prayer services and student performances. Their shadow play depicting the Nativity story particularly touched hearts, while melodious Christmas carols filled the air. Fr. Royal and Fr. Rixson guided the celebrations, recognizing the staff's year-round dedication. The arrival of Santa Claus brought special excitement, greeting students warmly and speaking in playful tones that delighted everyone.

St. Joseph's High School, Wadala began their celebrations on December 20th with a week of activities. Students from classes VII to X, under Sir Lloyd Nunes's guidance, presented carols that captured the essence of Christmas. The school community demonstrated their giving spirit through eco-friendly crib making, card competitions, and contributions of stationery and toiletries for less fortunate children. Fr. Solomon Rapol emphasized gratitude and humility in his address, encouraging students to embrace the true meaning of Christmas.

Shelter Don Bosco in Nashik's December 26th celebration honored their benefactors with an evening of fellowship. Fr. Nelson Mudaliar led activities that brought together shelter residents and supporters, fostering meaningful connections through games, music, and shared meals. The boys' enthusiasm and gratitude touched everyone present, creating lasting memories for all participants.

The youth of Don Bosco Nashik Parish and Dominic Savio Satpur Parish gathered on December 28th for their Christmas celebration. Fr. Nelson Mudaliar blessed the gathering, which began with prayer and evolved into an evening of games, barbecue preparation, and spontaneous music making. The event exemplified the blend of faith and fellowship that marks the season.

Stellar Don Bosco Academy's Christmas Carnival on December 19th, organized with DBDS and AIESEC, brought together diverse community groups in celebration. The event featured performances ranging from evening oratory children's dances to development ladies' presentations. Local community members operated food stalls and showcased their skills through various displays. Rev Dr Barnabe D'Souza shared insights about love's central role in Christmas, while the carnival ensured inclusion through free coupons for marginalized community members. Ms Wenonah Castellino's closing remarks highlighted how the event embodied Christmas's spirit of unity and sharing.
