BIS #6464 Pune youth celebrate Season of Creation with Taizé Adoration
by Cleric Christopher Nadar & Father Ian Doulton for BISMumbai
The community of Don Bosco Youth Centre [DBYC]-Pune, celebrated the Season of Creation once more. This time creatively through a Taizé adoration service for the youngsters of the Diocese of Poona on Sunday, 26 September 2021. A total of 101 young people turned up to participate in the hour of adoration and prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. In keeping with the theme, the participants were symbolically introduced to an activity to encourage them to a sense of communion with one another while committing themselves to preserve Mother Earth for now and the future. The youthful congregation chanted their praise of God's creation and expressed their wonder and gratitude for the marvel of the Human Person. As a souvenir, the participants received a “Biopen”- which, when exhausted can be planted to let a variety of plants blossom forth. On their way out, after the hour of prayerful celebration, the young people were treated to a snack, while many of them expressed an interest in what DBYC had on offer, for their spiritual growth and formation.
