BIS #6112 Don Bosco Narukot Concludes Marian Month
by Father Ajit Munis for BISMumbai
The COVID-19 brought on a very unfortunate situation of the absence of boarders at Don Bosco Narukot. However, the month-long Marian devotion was organised and solemnised by the Salesians, together with the boarding-masters and the catechist.
The Marian Month was inaugurated on 16 July with the theme 'Mary Our Mother', and celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm with the decoration of the statue, Marian Calendar, Marian Month Prayer and the Marian Anthem. The confreres, in turns, gave talks, recited poems, prayed the Rosary, organsied prayer/adoration services and also shared their Marian experiences. Also animated Bhajan service and Marian Katha recital added to the coming closer to Mary. A community pilgrimage to the 'Anatho ni Mata' Thirthadham at Khambholaj in Anand District, brought the community together and the celebration of the Solemnity of the Assumption provided a distinctive Marian flavour to an otherwise subdued lockdown situation.
