On August 21, Don Bosco Lonavla celebrated the Marian Nite, bringing to a close a month-long journey of prayer, creativity, and communal devotion in honour of Our Lady. The evening, led by the 12th Standard boys, was both a culmination and a tribute—a seamless blend of faith, artistry, and youthful leadership that left a lasting impression on students, staff, and visitors alike.
More than a performance, the Marian Nite represented weeks of meticulous preparation. A structured script, carefully coordinated programme flow, and a backdrop specially designed for the occasion reflected the collaborative effort of multiple teams. For the senior students, it offered a rare opportunity to assume responsibility, express devotion, and showcase leadership, demonstrating the values of commitment and reverence cultivated over the month.
The Marian Month had begun with the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, establishing a spiritual rhythm that carried the community through four weeks of reflection and activity. Weekly Rosary Services drew students into consistent prayer, fostering personal and communal connection with Mary. To complement these spiritual exercises, creative sessions encouraged participation across age groups, including rosary making, bookmark designing, and T-shirt painting—hands-on activities that made devotion tangible and memorable.
Sundays were marked by Animated Adoration, during which different groups led prayers of praise before the Blessed Sacrament, honouring Mary through song, reflection, and silent contemplation. Midway through the month, the Marian Tournament transformed friendly competition into a shared expression of unity, while the Rosary Procession carried prayer and devotion beyond the chapel, winding through the campus as a visible testament to faith. Further activities, such as the Marian Treasure Hunt and the Serenade to Our Lady, balanced playfulness with reverence, engaging students’ minds, bodies, and spirits in the month-long celebration.
The Marian Nite, combining prayer, performance, and symbolism, brought the devotion full circle. It was a fitting conclusion to the month, honouring Our Lady while strengthening community bonds and renewing shared faith. Through this event, students experienced not only the joy of creative expression but also the deeper meaning of spiritual dedication, leaving the campus imbued with a sense of unity, reverence, and enduring devotion.
