The Marian Month at Don Bosco Kawant in Gujarat was inaugurated on July 16 by Fr Ajay in a solemn and prayerful ceremony. The theme for this year’s celebration was “Mary, Anchor of Our Hope.” The month-long programme was specially organized for the boarding boys, and was conducted under the guidance of the Brother Assistant, Boarding Masters and other fathers in the community.
For the Marian Month, the boys were grouped into four Marian teams - Fatima,Velankanni, Swargiya Rani, and Sahayak Mata to encourage participation and teamwork.
The Marian Nite began with a prayer service and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, after which Fr Ajay formally declared the Marian Nite open, encouraging the boys to deepen their love for Mary through active involvement in the planned events.
The celebrations reached their climax with Marian Nite on August 14. The evening began with an atmosphere of excitement and devotion. Fr Mayank Parmar declared the Marian Nite open. The programme included Marian-themed games, which saw the boys participate with great enthusiasm, teamwork, action songs and creativity. A lively Marian Quiz tested their knowledge about Mother Mary and her life, and the boys impressed the audience with their preparation and quick responses.
The event concluded with snacks served to all and a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging everyone who contributed to making the celebrations meaningful and enjoyable. The deep involvement of the boys from active participation in the games and the quiz to their eager singing and cheering made the Marian Nite a memorable time of learning, fellowship, and devotion.
