On Friday, August 8, 2025, the students of St. Joseph’s High School, Wadala, set out with great excitement for their annual class picnics. Diving into the moment of perfect bliss, overflowing with excitement and fun, the students of Stds I – IV, embarked on an adventurous journey to Fountain City. They were ‘jumping for joy’, enjoying themselves to their hearts’ content, chilling in the water, enjoying the rain dance, slides and flumes, playing on the trampoline and engaging in constructive play with the building block games. They relished the sumptuous breakfast and lunch and the special refreshments given to them by the Adventure team members. The presence of the Headteacher of the Primary Section, Tr Smitha Lewis, the class teachers, Ms Sunita D’Souza, Mrs Laila Furtado, Mrs Sharmila Gomes, Mrs Mamta Bale, Mrs Rachal Gonsalves, Mrs Nivetha Silva, Mrs Viancy Fernandes and Mrs Janita George, along with the assistant teachers Mrs Melissa Azaredo, Mrs Cleopatra Farro, Mrs Nadia D’Mello, Mr Glen Dias, Mr Avinash Gracious, the support staff members, Mrs Archana Varekar and Mr Vinod Makwana made the students savour every moment to the fullest, which was reflected in their bright smiles!
Stds V and VI enjoyed a thrilling day at Suraj Water Park with their class teachers Mrs Ursella, Mrs Placida, and Sirs Rahul and Atul, joined by our Principal, Fr Solomon Rapol, other teachers, and support staff. The students delighted in racing down giant slides, splashing in the pools, and relaxing under the spray of the water umbrellas.
Stds VII and VIII had a fun-filled time at B.K. Water Park, accompanied by their class teachers Mrs Shruti Rogye, Ms Flavia, Ms Marilyn Dias, and Mrs Anjula Rai, our Rector Fr. James Nigrel, the Secondary Supervisor Mrs Nagaprabha, and support staff. The wave pool was a clear favourite, with students laughing and cheering as each swell came rolling in, while the adventurous ones braved the twisting water rides.
Std IX students headed to Imagica Water Park with their class teachers Mrs Priya and Mr Raj, non-class teachers Mrs Sakshi and Ms Asmita, and support staff Mr Prashant Kadam. They enjoyed the high-speed water coasters, the lazy river, and the thrill of the massive wave pool, making the most of every moment.
The day was perfectly planned by the picnic organisers, Tr Nivetha Silva (Primary) and Sir Somnath Kamble (Secondary), under the guidance of Fr Rapol, in coordination with Adventure Tours. Teacher coordinators Mrs Cressieda Rodrigues (Stds V & VI) and Mrs Nagaprabha (Stds VII & VIII) ensured smooth arrangements for their respective groups. Teachers and volunteers remained vigilant, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of every student.
The children returned to school tired but happy, carrying with them memories of laughter, friendship, and monsoon magic — a perfect blend of fun, adventure, and togetherness.
The Rector, Fr Nigrel and the Principal, Fr Rapol welcomed them back to school, and felt elated to see the students faces light up with pure joy!
