Don Bosco Primary School (Marathi Medium), Savedi, successfully organized the Sakhi Savitri Mata Palak Melava on Saturday, August 23, 2025, with great zeal and active participation of parents. The event was designed to promote health awareness, nutritious diet, proper daily routines, healthy lifestyle habits, and the importance of regular medical check-ups. A special highlight was the free health check-up camp organized for all mothers.

The program commenced with a prayer and welcome song performed by the students, creating a serene and joyful ambiance. Tr Tripti and Tr Jayashri extended a warm welcome to the gathering and introduced the esteemed guests.

The inaugural session began with the felicitation of dignitaries by Fr Ajit Munis with a traditional offering of Srhifal, and a heartfelt welcome to parents and teachers. Fr Munis, Principal of the Secondary Section, delivered the keynote address. He once again welcomed the parents and thanked them for their participation in Sakhi Savitri Mata Melava. He then emphasized the purpose of the Palak Melava – to strengthen the bond between the school and parents, foster cultural values, and encourage a healthy lifestyle among families.

The program was chaired by Dr Jitendra Gaikwad and Mrs Sandhya Gaikwad, accompanied by distinguished guests Mrs Nanda Jadhav, Mrs Jayashree, and Mrs Gouri Bidve. The dignitaries shared their thoughts on parental involvement and holistic development of children.

The highlight of the event was the motivational and informative sessions by experts. Dr Gaikwad spoke on the importance of health awareness, while Chief Guest Mr Ramesh Pathre delivered an insightful talk on Health, Balanced Life, Nutrition, and Diet. He stressed the role of mothers in maintaining family health and guided them on developing healthy lifestyle habits and ensuring regular medical check-ups.

A free medical consultation and health check-up for all mothers was conducted by the health team, which added practical value to the session. Parents were highly appreciative of this thoughtful initiative.

An interactive session was organized to gather parents’ opinions and suggestions for the school’s development and students’ well-being. The discussion created an atmosphere of unity, cooperation, and mutual respect, strengthening the partnership between the school and parents.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Teacher Jayashri, expressing gratitude to all participants, guests, and the organizing team for making the event a grand success.

The Sakhi Savitri Mata Palak Melava proved to be an enriching and inspiring event, spreading the message of health, harmony, and strong school-parent collaboration.
