Don Bosco School and Junior College, Nashik joyfully celebrated the Feast of St. John Bosco on February 6, with great devotion, enthusiasm, and a deep sense of togetherness. The celebration was a meaningful occasion that reflected the school’s commitment to the values and educational vision of its patron saint. The entire school community actively participated in the celebrations, making the event spiritually enriching and memorable.

The celebration was preceded by a nine-day Novena, which served as a period of spiritual preparation and reflection. During these nine days, each class conducted the morning assembly, highlighting the life, teachings, and core values of St. John Bosco, such as love, kindness, discipline, service, and care for the young. These assemblies helped students understand the relevance of Don Bosco’s teachings in their daily lives. The Novena was further enriched by inspiring morning talks delivered by the Fathers from Divyadaan and STI, who encouraged students and staff to imbibe Don Bosco’s values and grow as responsible, compassionate, and value-oriented individuals. Various activities such as poster making, best out of waste, football matches, and other creative competitions were organized during this period, promoting creativity, teamwork, and holistic development among students.

On the feast day, the programme commenced with a solemn prayer service, invoking God’s blessings on the entire school family. The atmosphere was filled with reverence and gratitude as the community came together in prayer. This was followed by a thought-provoking skit that portrayed the life and mission of Don Bosco, emphasizing his unwavering love and concern for young people. Graceful dance performances added vibrancy to the celebration, while an inspiring speech highlighted Don Bosco’s educational vision and his lasting legacy in shaping young lives with faith and values.

The celebration concluded with a mini fun fair organized on the school campus. The fun fair provided an opportunity for students, staff, and families to come together in joy and fellowship. The lively stalls, games, and activities created an atmosphere of laughter, bonding, and shared happiness, truly reflecting the joyful spirit of Don Bosco.

The Feast of St. John Bosco was a memorable occasion that ignited hope, strengthened unity, and renewed the school’s commitment to walking in the footsteps of its patron saint. The celebration left a lasting impact on the hearts of all present and reaffirmed the institution’s dedication to nurturing young minds with faith, values, and optimism.
