Wadala- Mumbai, September 27: Shelter Don Bosco, in collaboration with the Salesian Sisters of Wadala and the Suraksha Migrant Desk in Matunga, hosted a vibrant "Dandiya Dhamaal" event girls and women from disadvantaged backgrounds and Migrant communities on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 6:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. The celebration was held at the Auxilium School premises in Wadala.
The event drew a crowd of over 200 women and girls. Participants actively engaged in traditional Garba and Dandiya Raas dances, moving energetically to festive beats. Beyond the dancing, the evening featured various engaging games and lively banter, ensuring a celebratory atmosphere that offered a healthy break from their rigorous daily routines.
The primary objective of the gathering was to offer women from disadvantaged and migrant backgrounds a dedicated space to celebrate and enjoy a carefree evening. This collaborative effort demonstrated the commitment of the Salesian institutions to addressing the psychosocial well-being of the communities they serve and recognizing the importance of respite and joy in their lives.
