Don Bosco High School, Chhotaudepur celebrated its 35th Annual Day Celebration on December 23 in an atmosphere filled with joy, gratitude, and renewed hope for the future. The program commenced at 9 a.m. on the school campus, bringing together students, staff, parents, past–pupils and well-wishers to mark a significant milestone in the academic year.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr Anandkumar Parmar, District Education Officer, Chhotaudepur. The Guest of Honour was, Mr Madhubhai Rathva, Head of the Primary Teachers’ Association of Chhotaudepur District and an esteemed past pupil of Don Bosco High School, who added special meaning to the celebration through his presence. The event began with a warm welcome, invoking God’s blessings and setting a reflective and celebrative tone for the day.
In his inspiring address, Mr Parmar appreciated the consistent contribution of Don Bosco institutions to education and society, especially in tribal and rural areas. He encouraged students to dream big and remain focused on their goals, cautioning them against excessive dependence on technology. With a powerful message, he urged them to work hard and grow into responsible citizens, expressing his hope that ten years from now, some of them would return to their school as achievers and even as chief guests.
Mr Madhubhai Rathva, speaking as a proud past pupil, fondly recalled his school days at Don Bosco Chhotaudepur. He gratefully acknowledged the values, discipline, and quality education he received, which played a crucial role in shaping his life and career. His testimony stood as a living example of the transformative power of Don Bosco education.
The cultural program was the highlight of the celebration. The dances and performances were thoughtfully aligned with the theme “A Ray of Hope”, conveying meaningful messages of unity, perseverance, social responsibility, and optimism. Each performance reflected creativity, teamwork, and the confidence nurtured in students through holistic education.
Meritorious students were honoured with scholarships, recognizing their academic excellence and encouraging them to continue striving for success. The program concluded at 11:45 a.m. with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Fr Cedrick Sankul, the Principal, who expressed gratitude to the guests, staff, students, parents, and all contributors for making the event memorable.
The Annual Day celebration truly lived up to its theme, leaving everyone inspired and hopeful for a brighter future.
