From September 23 to 30, 2025, Don Bosco Chhatralaya, Narukot embarked on a meaningful journey to promote cleanliness and hygiene among its boarders. The theme "Cleanliness is Next to Godliness" served as the foundation for a series of engaging activities, including essay writing, drawing, elocution, cleaning surroundings, and a traditional Garba night.
The essay writing competition encouraged students to reflect on the significance of cleanliness in their daily lives. Through their writings, they highlighted the importance of maintaining personal hygiene, cleanliness in public spaces, and the role of individuals in contributing to a cleaner environment. The drawing competition provided another platform for students to express their understanding of cleanliness, showcasing their creativity through vibrant artwork.
A platform for expression, the elocution competition allowed students to articulate their thoughts on cleanliness and its impact on society. With conviction and passion, they delivered speeches emphasizing the need for cleanliness, proper waste management, and community involvement. Their words resonated with the audience, inspiring a sense of responsibility and commitment to the cause.
A cleanliness drive was organized, where students actively participated in cleaning their surroundings. This hands-on approach not only instilled a sense of ownership but also demonstrated the importance of putting words into action. By working together, the students fostered a sense of community and teamwork.
The week-long initiative concluded with a traditional Garba night, where students came together to celebrate their cultural heritage. The event served as a reminder that cleanliness and cultural values go hand-in-hand, promoting a sense of joy and community bonding.
The "Cleanliness is Next to Godliness" initiative at Don Bosco Chhatralaya was a resounding success, engaging students in meaningful activities that promoted awareness and action. By emphasizing the importance of cleanliness, the institution is shaping responsible individuals who will contribute to building a healthier and more sustainable future. The events served as a testament to the power of community involvement and the impact of small actions in creating a cleaner and better world.
