The month of September 2025 was a vibrant and meaningful time at Don Bosco School and Junior College, Nashik, marked by two impactful events — the Dramatics Competition and the Eco-Club Visit to Maria Vihar. These events not only showcased the talents of the students but also reflected the school’s commitment to holistic education, blending creativity, environmental awareness, and social responsibility.
The Dramatics Competition was held on September 18 for the Primary Section and September 19 for the Secondary Section in the school Parish Hall. The stage came alive with a range of engaging and thought-provoking plays presented by students from various houses. The themes explored included satire, emotional storytelling, and important social issues, offering a perfect platform for students to express their thoughts, emotions, and concerns through drama.
Each performance was marked by powerful storytelling, expressive acting, and innovative stage design. The judges appreciated the originality of the scripts and the maturity displayed by the young performers. Green House emerged as the winner in the Primary Section, while Magone (Red) House secured the top position in the Secondary Section. In his concluding remarks, Principal Fr Rixson commended all participants for their creativity, confidence, and teamwork, and emphasized the importance of dramatics in shaping well-rounded individuals.
In parallel with this celebration of art, the Eco-Club members undertook a meaningful visit to Maria Vihar on September 18, under the guidance of Tr Sneha, Tr Florence, and Tr Vaishali. Maria Vihar, a home for girls run by the Salesian Sisters, warmly welcomed the students.
The visit began with an address by the Sister Superior, who spoke about September as the Month of God’s Creation, encouraging students to be mindful stewards of the Earth. She then led the students through a tour of Maria Vihar’s beautiful garden, rich with flowers and fruit-bearing plants, inspiring a deeper connection with nature. The meaningful interaction with the residents helped instil values of empathy, compassion, and community engagement.
Together, these events made September a truly enriching month at Don Bosco School and Junior College, leaving a lasting impression on all involved.
