On December 27, 2025, the Youth of Sacred Heart Parish, Yerwada joyfully organized the Christmas Tree Fest, bringing together parishioners of all ages to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ in a spirit of faith, joy, and togetherness. The festive afternoon beautifully reflected the true essence of Christmas love, hope, unity, and community.
The celebration began with a warm welcome by the youth emcees, who invited everyone to reflect on the meaning of Christmas as a season of God’s immense love and the joy of coming together as one parish family. The programme then commenced with the opening prayer led by Fr Gregory D'Cunha, the Youth Director invoking God’s blessings upon the gathering and praying that the joy and peace of the newborn Christ may dwell in every heart and home.
The event was enlivened by a series of ice breakers, games, and spot prizes thoughtfully organized by the youth. Parishioners, especially children and families, participated enthusiastically, filling the atmosphere with laughter, excitement, and festive cheer. These interactive activities fostered a sense of bonding and ensured joyful participation from all.
A meaningful highlight of the afternoon was the carol singing, during which the parish community came together to proclaim the joy of Christ’s birth through song. This was followed by a lively carol dance performance by the youth, which beautifully conveyed the message of Christmas love, hope, peace, and faith and was received with warm appreciation from the gathering.
As the programme drew to a close, heartfelt gratitude was expressed to God and to all those who contributed their time, talents, and efforts to make the celebration meaningful and memorable. The gathering concluded with a fellowship lunch for all parishioners, providing an opportunity for families and friends to continue celebrating together in a spirit of unity and joy.
The Christmas Tree Fest organized by the youth of Sacred Heart Parish was a joyful reminder that when faith and fellowship come together, the true spirit of Christmas shines brightly in the community.
